If you have a limited space to build a house, you can adopt this minimalist and modern home design of B House in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Well designed by i.House Architecture and Construction, the house only used 82.0 sqm with split level on first level, second level and roof level. The focal point in design is not in the “double-skin house” plan but a small garden in the middle of the house, where all spatial separation is abolished that let all members of family gather and dispel tiredness every day after work together.

Saturday, November 17, 2012

Most of contemporary home's concepts are designed to optimized the use of the spacious. Below pictures are several best ideas for your dream home design with contemporary style. Design with simplicity and multi function![]() |
Contemporary home design - outdoor views |
Most of contemporary home design are designed with minimalist and simple, so all of the spacious are optimized. One of the most important aspects of modern design is the use of available space and furniture with multiple functions. For example, platform bed, a little, and therefore, the storage system. This is to prevent the storage of it in places like attics, etc. that are not so elegant. Another example of station equipment, which is formed by the use of advanced console table. Use of sofa bed can solve object-bank during the day and sleep at night. The bed can also be designed metal requires minimum space and provide maximum comfort.
Modern materials vs natural materials
Glass is one of the most favorite material that usually used for constructing modern house, glass enables you to create a transparent view, so it will make some limited spacious looks larger.

Decorative Accessories
The decorative accessories you choose should have clean lines, color coordinate with the rest of your design scheme, and pull the larger elements of a room together. Be careful when choosing wall hangings and paintings for a modern house, you should choose a style of art that is modern, contemporary, eclectic or avant-garde. For example, if you were to put a Victorian painting into a modern room, no matter how nice the painting is, it will not fit into the style of the room’s design. Keep this in mind when choosing other types of decorative accessories as well. Also, remember that when decorating or designing a modern home, less is more. You do not want to over-accessorize, doing so will take away from the chic simplicity that defines modern design. Choose just a few accessories you like for one room.

Modern Architecture Design Applied to Vodafone Headquarters Building by Barbosa & Guimaraes

Vodafone's Modern Architecture Design |
Vodafone has a new building as their headquarters, located in Porto Portugal. The building design uses a modern architecture, designed by Barbosa & Guimaraes. Building that serves as the new headquarters, has a slogan Vodafone "Vodafone Life, Life in Motion". When we look more carefully, the first image above, the building has an irregular shape, with many facets as a display face. Maybe we will be stunned while thinking: "How is it possible to make structural design like that?" Concrete structure be the answer to your question. Yes, this building is dominated by the performance of the functions of concrete structural and exterior. In many building designs, we know, more concrete functioned to support the structure. But in this Vodafone headquarters building design, concrete plasticity optimized to obtain a design that is truly unique and unusual. One thing we can learn here, that the concrete can carry out multiple functions properly, structure and exterior function.
When peeled from the technical point of view, this building has a high complexity. With an unusual concrete structures, clearly reduce support for building on it, but to provide flexibility in terms of interiors. On the ground floor which is right next to the auditorium, a room overlooking the Boavista Avenue, cafeteria and offices. While on four floors above the office a place to work, an open space and terrace. Going down to the basement, floors -3 and floor -2 serve as parking vehicles, and the -1 floor is occupied by a technical field and functioned as a training room. This design is sufficient for a building that serves as an office. [via]

Contemporary Wooden Architecture Building by Pieta-Linda Auttila Architect

Wooden Architecture Building |
Architectural design in this article is very unique, in the use of materials and in shape. About 90% of the entire building uses material from the timber, except for the window because we can not change the timber to be transparent like glass. The form was somewhat unique, in particular the use of a square shape, and in some other part using curved forms. So far, we use wood as an ornamental building, among others, to the ceiling and floor of the room. But in this design, the function is evolving toward more distant, more than just a trimmer. For this design, the wood runs the main function as a protector, because it's almost entirely made of wood construction.
The architectural design of this wooden building located in the maritime heart of Helsinki, designed by Pieta-Linda Auttila. If you look closely, this design is really amazing. In some parts of the curved shape, we can imagine how the carpenters have been working hard to get the forms that are not uncommon. Embodiment of harmonious cooperation between Pieta-Linda Auttila as architects and carpenters who have worked hard, producing stunning wooden architecture building design. via

The new Australian homes A whole new class of design

Australian Hhomes |
The new homes coming on the market are a true departure from the “El Cheapo” designs of the past. These are real designer homes, excellent quality and they’re Big with a capital B. They represent totally different living spaces and environments from their predecessors and they’re built to provide a different lifestyle. The modern Australian home comes with a lot of smart features like a
retractable awning, high tech house control systems in big hybrid open plan and CAD-based partitioned interiors.
The new interior architecture and designs
The new interiors are really advanced designs, using a range of options to provide a good, well-insulated environment from the Australian sun and dealing with the issues of coastal design as well. This is a revolution in a way, because in the past the interiors were “conveyor belt” BV designs, not particularly original, using low grade materials and cost-based, meaning great for developers’ bottom lines, and not much else. The stampede to better quality housing is a clear indicator that the end of that type of building is here to stay.
The days of shoddy mass-produced homes are well and truly over, and the days of unfussy homebuyers are also gone, from the look of the housing market. Quality is taking over, and materials are now an essential part of Australian home design. The new interiors usually have extremely high quality hardwood or tiled floors, top quality carpets, best practice environmental management, and a stream of extras which didn’t even exist when much of urban Australia was built in the 70s and 80s.
The new exteriors- Designer materials and ideas all the way
It’s fair to say that the exteriors have also had a drastic makeover. Much of the technology creating the fabulous new sunscreen blinds also didn’t exist during the building booms of the past. That’s one of the reasons the new buildings are so conspicuously different. The other reason is that the new environmental control concepts now extend outside the building, using the big sunscreens to deal with heat and light much more efficiently.
The new buildings really are a different species. They’re geared to a different world. The modern home can be huge, containing many features which older homes simply didn’t have and some which didn’t even exist in theory before. Something as basic as air conditioning, for example, was previously a “turn it on and hope for the best” technology. Now, it’s a science, with programmable units saving megawatts every day thanks to better environmental controls built in to the design.
The big new exteriors are unprecedented in design terms. It’s a whole new class of design technology, reinventing exteriors as living spaces and simultaneously dealing with a lot of issues which have plagued Australian home design since the colonial era. Designer materials and much better approaches to environmental management have produced an entirely different type of building.

Modern Interior Design |
Are you searching for information about modern interior design, above picture is one of sample interior decorating ideas in modern. Furniture, flooring, wall decoration, lighting design and all elements are look new and cozy. The quest for detailed and glamorous design has played a big part in modern interior design. The past years have changed trends and taste of people redesigning their homes and the influence of other culture has contributed on some of these designs. Here are several element that should be considering to arrange in order to get a modern looks in decorating a room.
Of course, white has got to be the ultimate color for any self-respecting minimalist scheme.
But, you can opt for a softer look, by choosing warm neutrals and colors from nature. Try stone, beige, taupe, brown and even green. Your base colors should be ‘pale and interesting’ – but go for a splash of a bolder color for accents.
Your accents can be as little or as much as you like. Try a vase, or cushions for quite a subtle introduction to color, or a whole wall or sofa, for a bigger statement!
Only choose one color, or color group, for your accent color. Bright red is a good choice, or any other bright color. As an alternative, just choose a darker natural tone – a deep green or brown will always work well.
Furniture
Choose something simple and classy for your minimalist interior design look.
Plain, modern-looking furniture is ideal – in natural wood (especially dark wood), dark leather, white or bright colors, or chrome, glass, mirror and stainless steel.
Low level furniture will help with the modern look and minimalist feel in your room, as it is much less bulky!
Floors and Windows
Less is more with a minimalist style. Choose plain, wooden floors for a simple effect. But don’t forget to add a rug, for live-ability and style.
Try to keep your window treatments simple too. Bare windows, shutters and blinds will give a very minimal look, but you might feel happier softening up the look a touch. Choose simple, neutral curtains or white floaty voiles, for an easy look.
Accessories
Naturally, accessories are not a major part of a modern minimalist look. But don’t just sweep the shelves bare…! By all means clear out the clutter, and have a god sort out, but remember that your minimalist interior design look does need a few, well-chosen, carefully positioned accessories, to complete the look, and make your house into a home.
One large, very striking picture, painting or wall hanging will make a better statement than several smaller ones. Choose something you really love, and are proud to display as large as life in your home.
This picture will probably set the choice of accent color for the rest of your accessories – cushions, vases, candlesticks and lamps.
Limit yourself to only 1 or 2 accessories on each display surface. If you have special treasures you can put these into storage for a while, and display them in rotation.
Of course, managing your storage will be another big part of making a minimalist interior design scheme successful in your home, so think very carefully about what you need in your room, where you need it and how you will use it, before you invest in your storage solutions.
Maintaining a successful minimalist interior design scheme will take a little more work on your part. But the results are very satisfying – a beautiful, clean and tidy room, with a tranquil, soothing air – exactly the kind of room you want to relax into when you come home after a hard day…!

Living Room Design with Centralized Space on Modern House
Saturday, June 12, 2010
This modern home used a centralized living
room, a room that focused in opened space such as a shelter, designed by MCK Architects. This modern house, just like a shelter expressed from its single roof plane, is focused in open plans house. The main architectural concept of this house is creation of centralized living space. The house uses principles of cross-ventilation and the thermal mass of concrete, tempered by in-slab, gas hydronic heating. The notion of building with something found is expressed through the solidity and permanence of concrete platforms and hollows and a fireplace. The roof also strikes a counterpoint to the lay of the land and the stepping of the concrete terrain. via
